Hello! My name is Jenny Park and I am a mix of Modern and Hellenistic Astrologer, focusing on various classic timing techniques (transits, aspects, profections, progressions, and moon phases), while integrating the nodes and using principles from evolutionary astrology. I studied and trained under Kelly Surtees, the NORWAC (Northwest Astrological) conferences, Astrology University and Jodi King. I opened my own practice, Starwandered, in 2023 focusing on natal charts, and year ahead readings.
I am fascinated by astrology, how the cosmic movements/energy of the natural world can be a weather report for what is happening around and within us. I view a natal chart as not just the time, place and date of birth, but a map of the night sky imprinted onto our souls the minute we took our first breath. Understanding the energy of the chart can help us navigate who we came into the world to be, how we operate (consciously and unconsciously), and to work with our energy and the energy around us to grow, change and become. A natal chart is a map of who you are and where you are going to have ease in your life, and where you will be challenged. Adding in timing techniques we can create a weather report for when those moments of ease and challenge are likely to occur. This insight can help you in determining when to push and when to rest, to be gentle with yourself and honor your natural rhythms and have less shame for how you operate.
As a mother of 7 ( 6 daughters and 1 son), I have seen how astrology can help me be a kinder and more understanding person. It becomes a language to understand my children and how I can adapt to communicate better with them, love and support them in a way that honors their individuality. It has also given me insight into my 25 year marriage to my handsome hubby. When we more fully understand and accept ourselves, we can create relationships, friendships, work environments, and even live in areas that are better suited and healthier for us.
My goal is to empower you to see yourself with clarity and less judgment. To compassionately understand all the parts of you and how they work together. I want you to walk away from a reading more equipped with your map and weather report, your tools, to live a life you choose and want. To feel connected as the special part of the universe that you are, unique in your gifts, abilities and choices.
My family recently moved to Orcas this summer, though we have visited the island for years as we have family living in Eastsound. My husband teaches over at the high school and martial arts classes. I like to say he is the science of the stars and I am the interpreter of what they are saying. We live in Olga with our youngest 5 children, and are blessed to live where the sun rises early and the mist surrounds us like a hug.
