Offer Your Practice through the Center

The Healing Arts Center reviews applications for membership in April and October each year. Practitioners of holistic and complementary health care modalities and adjacent practices are welcome to apply at any time, though we may not review applications outside of our biannual schedule. Applications are reviewed in April and October every year.

Our current practitioner offerings include massage therapy and bodywork, acupuncture, psychotherapy, naturopathic medicine, and tarot. Past offerings have also included astrology, private yoga and movement, Non Violent Communication (NVC), and other practices.

Once invited to join, members may reserve room space between one and five days per week in our refurbished 1904 farm house in the heart of Eastsound. Membership with the Healing Arts Center affords inclusion in an involved, passionate group of islanders! We maintain our physical structure and our community with regular work parties and consensus-based meetings. Many practitioners offer a sliding scale and other ways to provide care to all islanders.

We are a member-run 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1989. The Healing Arts Center is dedicated to providing space and support for holistic healthcare treatments and services for our community. We strive to offer valuable education and resources about holistic healthcare and wellness.

Let’s work together.

The practitioners and volunteers of the Healing Arts Center choose to work in co-operation with each other and the community to keep the center running smoothly.

The Healing Arts Center is a nonprofit organization that owns the building. The operations are practitioner-run and the decisions made at each monthly meeting by consensus. There are volunteer hours that are required monthly as well as special events such as the Healing Arts Fair and work parties.

We are a community of alternative health practitioners, with individual practices, who support each other and commit ourselves to the inner workings of the Healing Arts Center.

You must be an Orcas Island resident of at least 1 year or own property on Orcas Island to be considered. A $25 application fee is due upon submission.
