Bio

Trina Doerfler, D.C.,N.D. graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1989 and from Bastyr University in 1992 after a career as a dancer in NYC and becoming interested in the repair and restoration of the body and mind.  She also studied Shiatsu with the great Shizuko Yamamoto in NYC after graduating from the Swedish Institute of Massage and firmly believes that bodyworkers are born, not made, as are Naturopaths. The use of Least Force and the principle of the Healing Power of Nature inform her practice and she strives to meet the person where they are. Food Medicine is where she starts and is able to use therapies from homeopathics to herbal medicines and extracts, bioidentical hormones and (occasionally and appropriate) pharmaceuticals to find the best way to robust health and vitality with the wide scope of therapies in the naturopathic scope of practice.

She has been a provider for Pacific Northwest Ballet, a faculty member at Bastyr University, a member of Seattle Healing Arts and a health care provider in Seattle for many years. She was voted Best Chiropractor in Seattle in the 90's.

Her practice consists of a quartet of specializations:

  • “Regular” naturopathic primary medical care: Issues with energy, food allergy, sleep, chronic congestion, digestion, rashes, chronic respiratory illness, stress.

  • Bio-identical hormone restoration.

  • Neurofeedback for brain injury and concussion as well other cognitive/emotional imbalances.

  • Physical medicine: Trigger point work and spinal manipulation for neck pain and headaches.

She is thrilled to be joining the amazing community at the HAC! She welcomes all in the community with compassionate complementary medicine.
